At what height should I mow my grass? • We recommend mowing at 3 ½ inches or higher. It should be shorter only on your first and last cut. On the last cut, this will prepare your lawn for winter. In the spring it will cut off excess top growth. On these cuts only, mow at 2 ½ inches.
Can you do anything about the mushrooms in my lawn? • No, mushrooms are caused by moisture and organic material under the surface.
When is the best time of day to water my lawn? • The key to successful watering is to make sure that all the water is evaporated off of the blades before the sun goes down.
How much water does my lawn need? • 1 ½ inches per week including rain. Water deeply and infrequently. ½ inch of water every other day is a good rule of thumb to follow.
